The Birth of a Theologian: Oto Mádr 1945-1951
The present study is a probe into the life and work of theologian Oto Mádr (15th February 1917) from the end of World War II till the onset of the Communist era, i.e. the period, in which he wrote his early theological reflections and columns. The first part presents some new data on the life of the theologian. The second part is a bibliography of Mádr's writings during the specified timeframe, based on a detailed heuristic, providing concise, yet unsimplified contents of the texts. The purpose is to offer an insight into the budding reflection of Oto Mádr, as yet omitted in the studies that have been dedicated to him.
