The Location of the Leading Principle of the Human Soul in the Body according to Gregory of Nyssa

Gregory of Nyssa rejected philosophical theories placing the leading principle of the human soul (i.e. the mind) in the bodily parts. He along with Plotin came to the conclusion that the leading principle can neither be placed in the body nor confined or limited by the body because it is incorporeal. It nevertheless penetrates every bodily part and affects it, if the part is functioning naturally.
